If you want to make your profile/layout tiny then just check the checkbox on top. You can leave everything else just default or you can change it if you know what your doing.

Flip Profile
Switches all the tables from left to right.
Hide Friends
This will hide your friends sections including all your friends.
Hide Contact Table
This will hide the contact table that contains the following links: Send Message, Add to Friends, etc.
Hide Bottom Links
This will hide the bottom links: About, FAQ, Terms, Privacy, Safety Tips, etc.
Hide Add Comment Link
This will only hide the "Add Comment" link under the comments.
Hide Extended Network Banner
This will hide the extended network banner.
Hide Top Links
This will hide the top links: Home, Browse, Search, Invite, Film, etc.
Hide Blog Section
This will hide the "Blog" section in your profile.
Hide Comments
This will hide the comments posted on your profile.
Hide Interests Section
This will hide the "Interests" section in your profile.
Hide Details Section
This will hide the "Details" section in your profile.
Hide School Section
This will hide the "School" section in your profile.
Hide Your Display Name, Picture and Info.
This will hide your display name, picture and information on your profile.
Hide Blurbs Section.
This will hide the "Blurbs" section in your profile (About Me and Who Id Like To Meet).
